The forest is calling! Join us this Saturday for some hiking and painting in Jerash hosted by Hana Nimry, certified adventure guide and nature lover, and Hani Alqam, artist and expressionist painter. We will embark on a 6km hike beginning in Khirbet Al Souq reaching the Dibeen Nature Reserve. The hike is mainly in a forest packed with pine and oak trees, it is easy and enjoyable. Once we finish the hike we will head to a farm where we’ll enjoy a delicious and rich local lunch made by Um Abdullah, including Freekeh, chicken and vegetarian options too. After lunch we delve into painting in nature with artist Hani Alqam who will be teaching and guiding us as we paint whatever inspires us from the beautiful location that envelops us.

Details of the day:

7:15 am assemble at Cozmo Dabouq

7:30 am depart to Jerash by bus

8:30 am start hike (6km around 3-4 hours)

1:00 pm lunch at farm

2:00 pm painting experience

4:30 pm leave Jerash

5:30 pm arrival back to Amman

Price per person: 50 JOD (to be paid in advance and online)

What’s included:

• Transportation by bus

• Hiking with a licensed guide (First Aid Certified)

• Painting experience with an artist (including teaching and guiding as well as all needed supplies like easels, colors, brushes and canvases)

What to bring:

1. Mask (to be worn during the bus)

2. Backpack to carry your water and any belongings

3. Water (2 to 3 L of water per person)

4. Comfortable walking/hiking clothes and shoes

7. A warm jacket to wear after the hike and during the art workshop, it will get colder in the evening

• The hike is easy/moderate, 6km and will last around 3 to 4 hours

• Vaccine certificate OR negative PCR test is required for all travelers

• The maximum capacity for this experience is 15 people
